Understanding Baggage Collection at Heathrow

Upon arriving at Heathrow Airport, the first step is to collect your baggage. Each terminal has designated baggage reclaim areas, which are clearly signposted. Here’s what you need to know:

Baggage Reclaim Areas

Each of Heathrow's five terminals has its own baggage reclaim area. It is essential to check your flight information screens, as they will display the carousel number where your luggage will arrive. If you are flying with multiple airlines, be sure to verify the terminal for your flight as it may differ.

Lost or Delayed Baggage

In the unfortunate event that your baggage is delayed or lost, report it immediately at the airline’s baggage desk located in the terminal. Ensure you have your baggage claim tag handy, as this will assist in tracking down your luggage. Each airline has specific procedures for handling lost baggage, so it's wise to follow their guidelines.
