Heathrow Airport Luggage Collection And Courier

Introduction

Heathrow Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, offers a variety of services to help travellers manage their luggage efficiently. Whether you’re arriving from a long-haul flight or need to send a parcel, understanding the luggage collection and courier options available can save you time and stress. In this guide, we’ll explore the different services offered at Heathrow, helping you make informed decisions about your luggage needs.

Luggage Collection Services

Upon arriving at Heathrow, the first task for most travellers is to collect their luggage. Here’s what you need to know:

Baggage Reclaim

After disembarking, head to the baggage reclaim area. Each terminal has designated carousels based on your flight number. Keep an eye on the screens for updates on which carousel your luggage will arrive at. If your luggage is delayed or lost, immediately report it to the airline’s baggage service desk located in the terminal.

Luggage Storage

If you have a stopover or need to explore London without dragging your bags, Heathrow provides luggage storage services. Companies like Excess Baggage Company operate within the airport, allowing you to securely store your luggage for a few hours or even days. This service is perfect for those wanting to enjoy the city without their bags.

Courier Services at Heathrow

Should you need to send items from Heathrow, several courier options are available. These services are especially useful for business travellers or those sending gifts back home.

Heathrow's In-House Courier Service

Heathrow Airport offers a dedicated courier service that operates within the airport premises, ensuring quick and reliable delivery of your parcels. You can send items domestically or internationally, with various shipping options depending on your urgency. It's advisable to check their website for the latest prices and services.

Third-Party Courier Options

In addition to the airport's own service, many third-party courier companies operate at Heathrow. These include well-known names like DHL, FedEx, and UPS. Each company has its own pricing structure and delivery times, so it’s wise to compare options to find the best fit for your needs.

Tips for Using Luggage Collection and Courier Services

Plan Ahead
