Luggage Transport Services at Heathrow

Heathrow Airport offers a variety of luggage transport services to cater to the diverse needs of its passengers. Here are some of the primary options:

Luggage Delivery Services

One of the most convenient ways to manage your luggage is through a luggage delivery service. These services allow you to send your bags directly from your home or hotel to the airport, or even to your final destination. This option is particularly beneficial for families or those with heavy bags. Leading companies operating at Heathrow include:

- Airportr: Offers a seamless luggage delivery service, where your bags are collected and transported to the airport.

- Luggage Mule: Provides a similar service, ensuring your luggage arrives safely at your chosen destination.

Left Luggage Facilities

If you have a long layover or need to explore London without your bags, Heathrow has left luggage facilities available. Located in Terminals 2, 3, 4, and 5, these facilities allow you to store your bags securely for a few hours or even days. Prices vary depending on the size of your luggage and the duration of storage.

Luggage Trolleys and Carts

For passengers who prefer to manage their luggage personally, Heathrow offers luggage trolleys and carts throughout the terminals. These are available for a small fee, and can be found near the check-in areas and baggage reclaim. Trolleys can be a lifesaver, especially when navigating the airport's extensive layout.

Tips for Efficient Luggage Transport

To make your experience at Heathrow smoother, consider these handy tips:

- Label Your Luggage: Always ensure your luggage is clearly labelled with your name, contact number, and destination. This can help in recovering lost bags more efficiently.

- Pack Smart: Keep essential items such as travel documents, medications, and valuables in your carry-on. This way, even if your checked luggage is delayed, you will have everything you need.

- Check Airline Policies: Different airlines have varying luggage policies. Make sure you understand the weight limits and any additional fees for excess luggage to avoid surprises at check-in.
