Heathrow Express Luggage Allowance: What You Need to Know

Introduction

Travelling can be stressful, and understanding luggage restrictions is a crucial part of planning your trip. The Heathrow Express, known for its fast and efficient service between Heathrow Airport and Central London, has specific luggage allowances that passengers should be aware of. In this article, we will explore the details of the Heathrow Express luggage allowance, ensuring your travel experience is as smooth as possible.

Heathrow Express Luggage Allowance

The Heathrow Express is quite accommodating when it comes to luggage. Passengers are allowed to bring luggage aboard without any additional charge, as long as it meets certain guidelines. Here are the key points regarding the luggage allowance:

- Number of Bags: Each passenger is permitted to bring up to two pieces of large luggage, along with one smaller piece of hand luggage. This is ideal for travellers who may have larger suitcases or travel bags.

- Size and Weight Restrictions: While there are no strict weight limits, passengers should be able to manage their luggage independently, as the train does not offer assistance with heavy bags. A good rule of thumb is to keep your large bags under 23 kg (50 lbs) and ensure that they fit within the dimensions of standard airline luggage.

- Hand Luggage: Smaller bags or backpacks should be manageable and fit comfortably in the overhead racks or under your seat. Typically, it is recommended that hand luggage does not exceed 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm.

Tips for Travelling with Luggage

To ensure a seamless journey on the Heathrow Express, consider the following tips:

1. Label Your Luggage

Always label your luggage with your name, address, and contact number. This will help in case your bag gets lost or misplaced.
