How to Book a Buggy at Heathrow Airport

Introduction

Heathrow Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, caters to millions of passengers each year. For individuals who may have difficulty walking long distances, the airport offers a buggy service that can significantly ease the journey from the terminal to the aircraft. In this guide, we will explain how to book a buggy at Heathrow Airport, ensuring your travel experience is as stress-free as possible.

Understanding the Buggy Service

Heathrow Airport provides a complimentary buggy service designed for passengers who require additional assistance due to mobility issues. This service is particularly beneficial for the elderly, pregnant women, and those with disabilities. The buggies are operated by airport staff, who will transport you from check-in to your departure gate or from arrivals to baggage reclaim.

When Should You Book a Buggy?

It is highly recommended to book your buggy service in advance. Ideally, you should arrange this at least 48 hours before your flight. This allows the airport staff enough time to prepare and ensure that the service is available when you arrive.
