Luggage Allowance on Heathrow Express

The Heathrow Express has a generous luggage policy that allows passengers to bring a reasonable amount of luggage on board. Each passenger can carry up to two pieces of luggage, plus one smaller item such as a handbag or laptop bag. The maximum dimensions for each piece of luggage should not exceed 85 cm in height, width, and depth combined. This means that the total of the three dimensions should not surpass 85 cm.

What Counts as Luggage?

When travelling on the Heathrow Express, it’s essential to understand what constitutes luggage. Your main luggage can include suitcases, travel bags, or rucksacks. However, items like sports equipment, musical instruments, or oversized bags may require special consideration. Always check the latest guidelines on the Heathrow Express official website to avoid any issues at the station.

Tips for Travelling with Luggage

To make your journey as smooth as possible, consider the following tips:

- Pack Smart: Use packing cubes or compression bags to maximise space in your luggage. This not only helps in fitting everything but also makes it easier to access items during your journey.

- Label Your Luggage: Ensure your luggage is marked with your name and contact information. This practice helps in quickly identifying your belongings and is essential if your luggage goes missing.

- Use Trolleys: At Heathrow Station, you can find luggage trolleys available for hire. This can save you the effort of carrying heavy bags, especially if you have layovers or transfers.

- Arrive Early: The Heathrow Express runs frequently, but arriving at the station early can help you manage your luggage better and avoid last-minute stress.
