Booking a Taxi

While you can always opt for a taxi on arrival, pre-booking your taxi can provide additional peace of mind. Various taxi companies operate in the London area, offering services that can be arranged online. This option allows you to specify your pickup time and destination, ensuring a smoother experience without the hassle of waiting in line.

What to Expect

When you arrive at the taxi pickup area, you will find a queue of licensed taxis. It's essential to choose an official taxi to avoid scams and ensure a safe journey. Official taxis in London are typically black cabs or private hire vehicles with a taxi sign on the roof.

Taxi Fares

Taxi fares from Heathrow can vary considerably based on your destination, time of day, and traffic conditions. As a general guideline, fares to central London typically range from £45 to £100. Always confirm the fare estimate with the driver before starting your journey.
