Heathrow Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, serves millions of passengers each year. With such high traffic, it’s crucial to know where to go for your taxi pickup as soon as you step off your flight. Understanding the layout of the airport can save you time and hassle, ensuring you get to your destination quickly and comfortably.

Taxi Pickup Locations

At Heathrow, taxi pickups are clearly designated and located outside each terminal. Here’s a breakdown of where to find taxis at each terminal:

Terminal 1

Although Terminal 1 has been closed since 2015, if you are arriving at Heathrow from a flight that still operates into Terminal 1, you will need to check the latest updates on terminal operations.

Terminal 2

For passengers arriving at Terminal 2, the taxi pickup point is located directly outside the arrivals hall. Follow the signs for ‘Taxis’ as you exit the terminal. You will find a dedicated area for licensed taxis, ensuring you receive a safe and efficient service.

Terminal 3

At Terminal 3, the taxi pickup area is also situated just outside the arrivals section. Look for the clear signage directing you towards the taxi ranks. There is a fleet of black cabs available ready to take you to your destination.

Terminal 4

For those arriving at Terminal 4, the taxi pickup point can be found outside the terminal building. Follow the clearly marked signs leading you to the taxi area. There are also various transport services available, including private hire vehicles.

Terminal 5

Terminal 5 has a well-organised taxi pickup system. Upon exiting the arrivals area, you will find designated taxi ranks just a short walk away. Follow the directional signs to reach your cab without any confusion.
